ClimateChangeNZ is a project of the McGuinness Institute, a non-partisan think tank working towards a sustainable future, contributing strategic foresight through evidence-based research and policy analysis.

Project ClimateChangeNZ was established in recognition of the urgency and magnitude of the risks posed by climate change in 2019. The expansive nature of the project means that it will also cross over with many of our other research areas. We acknowledge that there are many issues of broader concern to the environment, which the Institute undertakes to contribute to discussion of where possible. However, Project ClimateChangeNZ is primarily concerned with greenhouse gas emissions and other direct contributors to global warming, as well as the transition to a zero carbon economy.
